Reviews
What a delightful meal! The food was truly fantastic, and the service was efficient and friendly. The place has a charming, cute vibe that we really appreciated. It's a shame, though, that the cleanliness didn't match the rest of the experience. We noticed quite a few dead flies and extensive cobwebs on the window ledge where we were seated, and it seemed like the higher areas hadn't been cleaned in some time.
A visit to The Paper Mill in Lasswade for Sunday lunch has been on the cards for a long time. We phoned to book a table on Sunday morning for 2pm and managed to get one which was great. It’s a very nice restaurant, a bit quirky with a large outside area for that day in July when we get the sun! We started with Black Pudding & Chorizo Bon Bon’s followed by Mac & Cheese with Bacon and Steak Frites. This was all washed down with a nice bottle of red. All basic pub restaurant food and very nice.
We nipped in for lunch at short notice. Really good range of lunch options, including an impressive Buddha Bowl! Tye views out into the terrace are fab.
Can’t fault at all, beautiful location friendly staff and delicious food. The outdoor area is just as nice as indoors with a great view of the river.
An amazing dinner place by the river side. The indoor is huge! Recommended to book in advance, but we got a place to eat. The key takeaway - lemon posset and shortbread!
